Job Description:
As a Truck Sales Representative at Interstate Trucksource, you will be responsible for selling new and used heavy-duty trucks to customers. This is a high-energy, customer-focused role that requires an understanding of customer needs, product knowledge, and the ability to develop long-term relationships. You will be working with a variety of clients, from fleet managers to individual owner-operators, helping them find the perfect truck for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive truck sales.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate trucks and vehicles that meet their needs and budget.
- Provide detailed information on available models, features, financing options, and warranties.
- Conduct test drives and walk customers through the purchasing process.
- Prepare sales quotes, negotiate pricing, and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the latest truck models, features, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the service and parts departments to ensure customer needs are met after the sale.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and performance goals.
- Process and follow up on leads from online, phone, and in-person inquiries.
- Maintain an up-to-date customer database and provide post-sale support as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in truck sales or automotive sales is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and the transportation industry is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-first attitude with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to effectively present and demonstrate trucks and features.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
